I guess I'll just wait for a FLAC of the Radio Edit then.

Am I reading this right? Someone paid £175 for a CD-R with a printed sticker on the front?! Wow.

Wow. I could literally make that myself. I even have an old CD printer somewhere.

looks extra fake, i dont know if the french label is really small? then maybe it is legitimately cheap-made.
as for the oli promo, the second one on ebay was sold for less than half the price of the first one (£53)

Even £53 is ridiculous for a CD-R.

it´s not so much about being a cd-r but more about rarities and collecting this stuff.

stuff that doesn´t pop up very often are pretty expensive.

do you remember those crazy prices for :album11: manual only? some people paid 400-500€ for it!

I actually had the same experience in H&M a few years ago! But they didn't let the foghorns sound out until the end of the track; somebody quickly skipped to Imagine Dragons or Chet Faker or whatever was popular at the time.

I mean, if we have to be honest, i only truly like "vespertine" and "medúlla" as words for album titles, the former because it is a poetic and quite rare/literary in terms of usage and also has that arcane quality because of the various ways it can be (correctly) pronounced; and the latter is her first usage of a latin word ending in -a which lends a medical/scientific aspect to something that is as primordial and primitive (in the non-value-judgment sense of the word) as the core of something, and it just sounds good ("ink" would not have been bad either, actually)

all the others work fine for they correspond to the logic and spirit of the album, but not sure i like the words themselves

so,
"debut" is descriptive and dry
"post" seeks to redeem itself of its laziness (if there's "debut," there's gotta be "post") by some ambiguous reference to "post" in the sense of "mail"
"homogenic" is the eccentric misspelling of a word by a foreigner who's a patriot on the album, okay
"volta" is a battery dancing a renessaince dance in a river somewhere in africa, sure
"biophilia" is the most underwhelming of them all, just completely boring and unevocative
"vulnicura" is a bit pretentiously overzealous and hardly a mellifluous concoction

so "utopia" for me follows the pattern of those 6 and is in that sense just good enough
I love :album11:

the meaning for me it's too deep!
Not really. Its just copied from the book "musicophilia" by oliver sacks ;)

No, it's not copied. I don't recall that word appearing in that book at all, actually. She simply liked the title Musicophilia, got inspired, and modelled the title of her record after that. It is an actual word but IIRC Björk initially thought it meant something else.

Clearly she was very inspired because even the chapter titles are written like notes.

i was in a big popular clothes store in london and earth intruders was on and i was like "awesome"... everyone in the shop was vibing. but they were obviously streaming it on spotify or itunes or something so when there's like two minutes of fog horns it was really awkward. and the staff were too busy to go and skip to the next track.
this is possibly the best thing i've read in this forum ever
