Waiting for the luxury details to be announced, I just hope it's something similar to the manual edition of biophilia (exclusive cd or extra) rather than the vulnicura live box. Don't really care for an expensive signed lithograph.

i am disappointed it hasn't arrived yet, if i'm honest.

Other artists like lana del rey, Lorde or lykke li did offer signed albums or lithographs without a higher price...
but in this case I guess the luxury edition will include additional things
obviouslyino bonus tracks otherwise there would be a so called deluxe edition

^ Do you have any idea how much they're making? They can afford that shit. It's like asking mom and pop shops to match Walmart prices.

I don't think :logo: even got 1000 pre-orders yet. Those prices are needed to keep OLI afloat and at to help her get the money she invested in the album back. Photoshoots and videos don't pay for themselves*!

*except for the few ones that do

can someone explain to me why people prefer the digipak over the jewelcase version ??

(remeber the volta era, when people were complaining about the digipak versions, there was only a rare amout of super jewelcase version in France/belgium, the other version were the "cheap" jewelcase editions with a different cover in other countries)

I don't think that oli or björk aren't well off, her albums sells shitloads, and when you offer 3 different albums from the same era, money is bound to come in.

I do wish that this luxury edition would include something substantial though, beyond "limited edition packaging" and a paper hat. Something like the ultimate art edition of Biophilia would be nice.

I like that the digipaks look like mini vinyl sleeves. Also, being paper makes it Eco-friendly.

And a jewelcase kind of looks boring, uninspired and not very original at all. Quite the oposite of a björk release actually. Unles they do something to customise it, like they did with Vespertine, with the White jewelcase back and the sticker on the back with tracklist, etc.

i just noticed on the pre-order page it says "in stock", wouldnt that mean they already have the actual copies there, so its done with the pressing and all? maybe i am just overexcited

Could it be that they're going to announce album title, tracklist and artwork at the same day they ship the preorders? That would be a nice way to reward the ones that actually purchase/pre-order.

Cause, at the end of the day, there really isn't much stopping people from downloading illegally, and extremely rarely are there any consequences whatsoever. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying.

Most of us in here wouldn't dream of downloading her album illegally, and certainly not upload it and share it around. And that's loyalty for ya. We believe that she deserves to get paid for the hard work she does.

But since there are no (proper) fan club or anything like that anymore, there really are very few treats left for loyal fans. Not unless we pay £500 for it.

None. I'm sorry, but I really find it silly to preorder an album I don't even know anything about yet. can I get a name? a tracklisting, at least?

sometimes I think i'm a bad fan.

Will the name and tracklisting affect your choice of whether to buy it or not? :P

I sure hope OLI does manage to deliver the physical products before or on the same day as the album will be sold by local record stores. People who pre-order the album before any info is available are loyal customers and should be the first ones receiving the album.

But hey, its the OLI mail order dept., so be prepared…

i haven't preordered the album yet. i was really tempted, but i think i'll wait till it arrives in record stores cause oli items arrive damaged all the time and it might even be faster than waiting for it to arrive from oli because i don't live in the uk

Ugh, same! I'm trying to downsize my cd collection, so wasn't planning on buying a physical copy. It's so hard to let go of cds :/
