It was stated that the deadline was mid July. I have proof of that as it was publicly available online, and I have screen shots. I have rented equipment, a studio, booked talent and a whole slew of other things to shoot my demo for this contest. I have spent over 5,000usd so far and I don't start shooting till after June 17th.

You can not, mid contest, change the rules or deadline. It is illegal. I have referred this matter to the FTC ( Federal Trade Commission). A full investigation has been opened and upon their further review they will open a class action suit against Bjork.com and One Little Records. The case number for your reference is: 10781192.

Please make a report:1-877-382-4357

Please reinstate the original deadline so we don't have to have a lawyer figure out how to re-coop money that will be lost due to non-refundable monies spent in preparation for this contest.

She can't be that much of a favorite, if this user's only posts in the forum EVER are this never-ending series of new topics about this contest.

I'd like to see a cite about how it's "illegal" to "change the rules" of a contest.

Well, I understand this, but I feel there is no reason to spend that much time and preparation for a prototype! That's awful that you've lost all that money. Even so, I feel your pain, and well I hope you succeed if it helps you. In fact, you are helping me as well and many others. :cry:

I will try to help too if it is possible. Let's see how this goes, though I need to be more informed on this matter...

Look if you have an extra 5000dollars to be out of, then you have the right to say that.
I have plane tickets booked for people to fly in and shoot this. One person is coming from Poland. I have rented equip and space. And I can't enter now cause someone changed there mind mid way. Who gets to do that. BS and it really is illegal make a complaint.

I feel bad for people that went the animation route. I don't even think you could render a good demo piece in the next week if you pushed render "NOW"

I just don't have that kind of cash to spend on nothing. I would at least want someone to look at what i made and be considered.

I was about to ask you about that!

First of all, i would NEVER spend 5000 in shooting something that would definitely not be a final product. You had to send your idea, but then it was going to be reprocessed by Björk's team! And if i was a billionaire and spoiled girl with the possibilities to do it, if something like this happened, i would NEVER sue my favorite artist. I couldn't even imagine how would all the AMAZING people running bjork.com react to something like this!!!

i would probably would have spent 10,000 plus by end.

Spec spots cost between 10,000 and 120,000 daily. welcome to music video land.

And I am a long time fan. I don't have time for forums in my life. but this a great way to inform people when this kind of crap happens.

That is how much it has cost so far.
I want to make a quality spec video that clearly shows my idea. I believe in my idea.
I wish it could all be free.
